stinging nettle tea. I love to drink this stuff, it tastes like creamy green tea. It’s said to have a lot health benefits like clear skin, pain relief, allergies, etc.
tools:
gloves
clippers or scissors
mixing bowl
hot water
how to:
- Clip the top stems of the stinging nettle bush, I’d say 6 inches, and cut the leaves off into a mixing bowl.
- Use the clippers/scissors to cut the leaves into smaller bits.
- Boil hot water, pour over the nettles and let sit for 10 minutes. You have to let the nettles sit for at least 10 minutes for them to loose their sting.
Drink it hot or cold, you can even use the soaked nettles as you would any other cooked leafy green, they’re good to eat once they’ve lost their sting. I don’t though, I don’t trust nettles in my food, only in my tea cup.
